 PAINTING

I teach using acrylic paints for wood and fabric.

On wood – A small wall piece will be a great start.*

On fabric A bit of color on your solid skirt is just the spark it needs to turn an old garment into a new one.  It puts a pretty touch on a simple baby garment.

On glass – Enamel paints are used here on glass vases.*

MUSIC

Basic music understanding – learn to read music and rhythms through hymns and simple folk tunes.  Hand instruments are used.*

Hammered Dulcimer – mine is a 72 stringed instrument that sounds like a guitar or harp.  It is struck with wooden  spoon-like “hammers.”

Mountain Dulcimer – This is a 4 stringed instrument that is shaped like an hour-glass and sets flat on your lap.

Beginning Flute – Learn to play the flute.

Beginning Guitar – A few simple chords will take you a very long way around a campfire.

Pennywhistle – Irish tunes sure are fun to play.  This is a 6 holed instrument that is played like a recorder.  The instruction book is very user friendly
