     Our Statement of Faith includes only those truths upon which all true Christians agree. It concerns the Person and work of Jesus Christ (the Gospel) as revealed in Scripture. It is the faith once delivered to the saints (Jude 2, Eph. 4:5) which distinguishes believers from non-believers. There are many other precious truths taught in the Bible over which godly men have differed in understanding. Therefore, this is not a statement of all that is important to believe, but of all that is essential to believe for Christian fellowship and unity. (Rom. 15:7)

     We believe:

The Bible to be the inspired and only infallible authoritative Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21)

There is only one God, eternally existent in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:1,

Matthew 28:19, John 10:30).

In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ (John 10:33); His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23, Luke 1:35);

His sinless life (Hebrews 4:15, 7:26); His miracles (John 2:11); His vicarious and atoning death

(I Corinthians 15:3, Ephesians 1:7, Hebrews 2:9); His resurrection (John 11:25, 1 Corinthians 15:4);

His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19); and in His personal return in power and

glory (Acts 1:11, Revelation 19:11).

In the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the exceeding

sinfulness of human nature and that men are justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of

Christ and through God’s grace. (John 3:16-18, Romans 3:23, 5:8-9, Ephesians 2:9-10, Titus 3:5).

In the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and

they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation (John 5: 28-29).

In the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 8:9, Galatians 3:26-28).

In the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

(Romans 8:13-14, 1 Corinthians 3:16, 6:19-20, Ephesians 4:30).

In the creation of man by the direct act of God. (Genesis 1:26-28, Genesis 5:1-2)

     In His Word, God has authorized parents and given them the responsibility to educate their children in a godly manner. (Deuteronomy 6:5-7, Isaiah 54:13, Proverbs 22:6) Our desire is to work as a group (through Biblical, moral standards) to support each other in activities that enhance home education. This Christian group exists to serve the members by:

     Supporting, encouraging and educating the teaching parent with prayer, fellowship, special speakers and small group discussions.

     Providing resources and information for the home schooling family through our monthly meetings, and e-mail communication.

     Scheduling activities that provide educational, enriching, social, and/or recreational opportunities for all ages to enjoy together, or in separate, age appropriate groups.

     Offering a variety of special interest, age appropriate groups, clubs, or activities.

     The WRHE Membership Roster and any other documents containing personal information about our members are strictly confidential and are for the sole use of active members currently home schooling at least one school-aged child. This list may not be duplicated, e-mailed, or otherwise reproduced. We will not divulge any information contained therein to any person or organization outside of WRHE.

     We will do our part to help WRHE fulfill its Statement of Purpose. We understand that the success of this support group depends on the participation of parents in all areas of communicating, planning, and executing our clubs, activities, and events.

      We understand that our family is representative of this support group and of the homeschooling community. We, adults and children, agree to conduct ourselves in a responsible manner. This includes, but is not limited to, dressing appropriately, respecting authority, careful treatment of property, refraining from gossip, and polite behavior toward others. Due to safety and liability issues, we agree to supervise our children at all times or arrange for another adult to do so.

     We understand that WRHE does not carry any insurance for member adults or children. We will not hold the Corporation and/or hosting facility liable in the unlikely event of injury.

     We understand that membership fees must be paid in full by the specified deadline in order to retain membership. Further, we accept that there may be additional fees to participate in some activities, events, or clubs. We agree to pay a fee to the corporation in the event that we provide a check which cannot be cashed.

     We understand that failure to comply with this pledge may result in immediate dismissal from an activity and/or limited, suspended, or terminated membership.

These objectives can only be met through a unique structure that requires each family to fulfill duties including planning, implementing and/or overseeing an event or activity. It is the cooperative effort of all of our families that keeps WRHE an active and vital support group in our area.
