The Master's Study/Master's Youth Orchestra

Mission and Vision

The Master's Study does not fit the traditional notions of a school, academy or even a cooperative enterprise. Meeting weekly, the Master's Study is a program that enhances a home educator's existing program through a study of the liberal arts from a historically Classical Christian perspective.

Just what does that mean? We hire teachers to teach from levels K-12 disciplines that give solid academic preparation for college.  This includes worldview training at the upper levels.  The use of progymnasmata for a writing curriculum and a newly developed science curriculum have given Master's a solid footing for raising strong science minded students who are able to write logically and critically.

Curricula

All curricula can be seen at www.tmslink.org. Each grade and discipline is represented with standing assignments both weekly and yearly syllabi.

Parent Teachers or Outside Instructors?

We hire both parent teachers and outside instructors.  Our goal is to hire those who have a passion for home schooling but are also degreed in the area of discipline they teach.  Master's is really a very rich, wonderful program that challenges the student to develop their best under their parent's supervision at home while gleaning from professionals who truly love and care for their students.

Meeting Times

We meet on Mondays with opening devotions beginning at 8:30am.  Ending times vary with age.

We meet at College Park Church which is located at the corner of 96th Street and Township Line Rd. on the northside of Indianapolis.  The easiest way is to mapquest the church to find out the best path for your family.
