GRACE@home (Greater Rushville Area Christian Educators at Home) is a service and activity oriented support group for families residing in the Shelby/Hancock/Western Rush County vacinity. We meet together as moms several times during the academic year for support and prayer, and we organize planned activities for our children as well as the entire family.
Teaching our children about serving others and giving back to the community are two of our core values. We have a regular ministry with Morristown Manor Nursing Home and have participated in Salvation Army bell ringing as well as gathering food for the Rushville Food Pantry.
Currently, we have 28 families in our group.
We meet in the fall and set all of our meeting and activity dates for the year. This year we have planned a Thanksgiving Feast which we will cook as a group outside over a fire, a spelling bee, Christmas caroling, an International Fair, and a living wax museum. Other local field trips will be added throughout the year.
We meet in group member's homes or at a local church when we have large gatherings.
